It really makes you wonder about the brainiac’s running this city, when for years and years there were no guardrails on Princess Anne road between Dam Neck and the Municipal center, but now that the road is being expanded someone thought it a good idea to go ahead and spend a lot of money to install guardrails the majority of that section of road.
The city is saying how poor they(we) are, and trying to steal money from the schools, but they have plenty of the stuff to do this road upgrade for a road that essentially is going away in the near future. Well maybe not that soon, considering how slow this city Builds roads, I think it took 4 years to widen London Bridge road…

Virginia Beach has Snow Clue

I find it very interesting, that with pending cuts in the coming months, that the city of Virginia Beach can’t find a better way to deploy manpower after the big snow storm, then to have close to a dozen workers cleaning the sidewalks of the municipal center on Sunday… I am guessing that these guys were most likely collecting overtime… I guess it’s somehow important, that the municipal center looks good no matter what the cost, while all the rest of the city looks like crap…

Meanwhile I have seen a grand total of 8 city snowplows on the roads, driving through the snow covered roads with their blades up… You would think that if the truck is moving, and there is snow on the road, the blade should be down clearing the roads… It is now 3 days since the storm hit, and the majority of main roads look like ass, and even worse at the intersections… You would think that a city truck with snowplow moving down snow covered primary road, that the blade would be down and snow would be getting cleared…

Guys make better use of your limited resources…

It really makes you wonder how serious the city is in supporting the local economy and business when it goes all the way to Northern Virginia to buy Vans for the Parks and Rec Department…

I have to believe that at least one of the local dealers, had to have a basic white van, and if not in Virginia Beach, at least one on Hampton Roads. but needing to go all the way to Tyson’s…
